Notice on Major Update of Mnet Plus & Plus Chat

Hello, this is Mnet Plus.

We are informing you that a new version of Mnet Plus and Plus Chat will soon be ready.

The upcoming major update has been planned for all users to enjoy enhanced communication with their faves.

[What’s New]

1. Integration of Artist Communication Services (※ Services provided vary by artist)

- Mnet Plus’ ‘Artist Community’ service will be moved to Plus Chat.

- The ‘Artist Community’ service will continue to be offered for free on Plus Chat.

- ‘Artist HOME’ on Plus Chat will grant access to diverse services, ranging from artist community to content viewing and workshop applications.

- Private chat services with Artists on Plus Chat will remain as paid as before.

2. Integration of Artist Official Fan Club Sign-up, Exclusive Fan Club Content, and More

- The official fan club pages, which were previously operated on separate pages on Mnet Plus, will be integrated into Plus Chat.

- The official fan club members will be granted access to fan club-exclusive content, all gathered in one place without the need to navigate through the app to different pages.

- Fan club kits and exclusive merchandise purchases will also be available.

3. Addition of Paid Services such as Purchase of Artist Albums and Merch, and Online Streaming

- A Shop feature for each artist will be launched, providing users with opportunities to conveniently purchase diverse artist-related items, such as albums and merch.

- Plus Chat will also provide online streaming services including online concert broadcasts.

4. More Benefits for Communicating on Plus Chat

- Live streaming will be available on Plus Chat.

- The private messages, which used to be limited to 30 characters, will now be increased to 50 characters limit, including spaces.

- The number of messages users can reply to an artist’s messages will also be increased from 3 to 7.

[Important Notice]

▶For Current Mnet Plus Users

- Posts, comments, and replies made in the previous Mnet Plus Community feed will not be transferred to Plus Chat; however, they will be accessible on separate links.

- The previous posts on Mnet Plus Community can only be viewed; writing new posts or comments will not be possible.

▶For Current Plus Chat Users

- Following this major update, changing user nicknames will not be possible for a certain period. Please refer to the subsequent notice on the resume of this service.

- The last nickname set by the user on all chatrooms of subscribing Artists will be the nickname used temporarily on Plus Chat.

- Following this major update, subscriptions days will not be displayed for a certain period. Cumulative subscription days will be displayed through additional updates.

▶Changes on User Nicknames

(1) Users who use Artist Community only on Mnet Plus

- They will continue to use the nicknames they previously used on Mnet Plus’ Artist Community.

(2) Users who use Artist Community on both Mnet Plus and Plus Chat

- They will be using the nicknames they have set on Mnet Plus’ Artist Community.

(3) Users who do not use Mnet Plus but only use Plus Chat services

- For those subscribing to single Artist: The chatroom nicknames will be automatically applied.

- For those subscribing to 2/more Artists: The most recently set nickname will be applied as the user’s nickname.

(4) Users with overlapping nicknames

- As Mnet Plus’ Artist Community will be moved to Plus Chat, an overlap of Plus Chat nicknames may occur.

- Per the application of nicknames following this migration, the nicknames used in the previous Mnet Plus Artist Community will be given priority.

- Nicknames that cannot be given priority will be automatically set to ‘original nickname + 2-digit number.’
